More New Page Changes to the Section 8 Renewal Policy Guide Issued

On April 17, 2009, Brian D. Montgomery, Assistant Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing Commissioner, approved a set of new page changes to the Section 8 Renewal Policy Guide.  The page changes include:

• Section 7-9, Preservation Updates, has been added to Chapter 7.  It discusses shallow rent subsidy and new debt in a budget-based rent increase.
• Section 16-1.C.2. has been updated to clarify when more than one rent adjustment is permitted.
• Section 16-2, REMS Reporting, has been removed and the remaining sections of Chapter 16 are renumbered. 
• The new Section 16-3 contains a clarification concerning the use of the debt service associated with the current financing when computing an OCAF rent adjustment. 
• Appendix 15-2 has been revised to be an Addendum to the Renewal Contract. 
• Attachment 1, Acronyms, has been updated. 
• Attachment 7, Section 8 Renewal Help Desk Contacts, is being removed.  The Department maintains an up-to-date list of Section 8 Renewal Help Desk Contacts on the web at:
